Easter Sunday Tart

My sister and me, Easter 1987

I made a lemon blackberry tart for dessert.  I used my lemon icebox pie recipe, baked it in a tart pan, and topped it with sugar glazed blackberries.  It came out a little thinner than I would have liked but you don't need much since it's so tart.  I prefer fruit desserts over chocolate- especially lemon.

Here is a [very small] peek at my newly reupholstered dining chairs.  I picked up them last Friday.  Love!  I'll show y'all the whole dining room soon; it's really coming along!  I had just set the table for Easter dinner, it was just the two of us so it's nothing fancy.  I have looked at this picture 15 times and all I notice is that the fork isn't centered on the napkin and my "place mat" is wrinkled .  Get a grip, I know...

  4. Beautiful looking tart - and you are so right, when it is truly a 'tart' tart you would not want too much of it!

  5. What a delicious tart! I'm also pretty sure we had those Easter hats growing up. They were so itchy!

  7. Tart looks great! I have a sample of that same fabric on your chair. I'm thinking about using it for a duvet in our master bedroom but I just can't commit!
