Dining Room Ideas

Because you can see the dining room from the front door and from the living room, I want the two rooms to flow together. This is the view into the living room.

You can see the placement of the windows better here..

There are three windows in the dining room.  Two will perfectly frame the sideboard and the other looks out onto the back porch.  I'm using the same fabrics for the drapes and the accent fabric from the living room will also be used for the dining chair seats.  I found a great antique dining table with 6 cane back chairs- it's exactly what I was looking for!  I had also been searching for an antique dresser with Hepplewhite pulls to use as a sideboard and I found one this weekend!

It's a good mixture of the white-antique-feminine-rustic farmhouse.  I want to do a gallery of framed antique prints on the one bare wall.  And I still have no idea what I'm going to put in those display cabinets!

T-minus 5 days until move in!

  6. I'm jealous of your dresser! I really like the look of antique prints for artwork. I actually LOVE framed antique maps. I have my eye out for them every time I stop in an antique or thrift store.

  11. Love all of this...in the display cabinets I could see some vintage Brown transferware(?) (cream with diff scenes in brown), or some vintage Heagar or McCoy pottery, mixed with some black and white old family photos.
