Spring has SPRUNG!

This past weekend was full of fun spring-like activities!  I spent the weekend up in Georgia with Todd.  We drove over to Auburn on Saturday and spent half of the afternoon looking in the little shops right by campus before getting two giant lemonades from Toomers and spending the other half of the afternoon at the baseball game.

I think we played the timing pretty well because it was a warm day and from what we heard, the first few innings were just plain hot!

We welcomed Spring on Sunday by spending the entire day at Callaway Gardens.  The flowers at Callaway right now are gorgeous! 

There were tulips and daffodils everywhere and cherry trees in full fluffy bloom!

We have probably been to Callaway 10 times in the past few months and we always find something new when we go.  I think our next adventure is the bicycle trails.

There are also huge azalea gardens at Callaway but they aren't in full bloom yet- one of the ladies told us they should be in about 10 days or so.

 I had a little old German lady take our picture under the cherry blossom trees (although I had my camera on the wrong setting for the first one so it's blurry! Dang it!).  She was nervous at first but I think after she took the first one she really enjoyed it because she started telling us where to stand and how to pose.  It was really cute.  

There is a plant fair and sale next weekend and I'm pretty sure we're going back.  We bought an annual pass this past weekend which gets us some pretty good discounts on different programs and events at Callaway so we are going to make full use of that before it gets too hot.
