I had a date this Saturday with a handsome man and a sunrise. He joked as we piled into the car at approximately 5:00am that I am the only person he knows that likes to wake up earlier on the weekends than I do on weekdays. It's true. I despise waking up early during the week (and I rarely do thanks to the World's Best Job) but I could not think of a better way to spend a Saturday. I will save the full details for
our little travel blog in case any of you would like to go there too (it should be up later this week) but I couldn't wait to share the pictures with you now.
There is a beautiful place not too far from here..
There aren't many people, not a gas station for miles...
There is driftwood covering the entire beach.
It was well worth getting up at 4:30am on a Saturday for. Well. Worth. It.
I think the beach is more beautiful in the winter.
We left with hands full of sand dollars. I grew up on the beach and had never found a real sand dollar.
And then I ate the best butter pecan french toast in the world with this handsome man.
I loved this Saturday.
Yay. So good to hear how much fun you are having. So much has changed for you since I started reading your blog and it feels like you are right where you are meant to be! Looking forward to reading the new blog!

ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures! I love the beach to except on my coast I get lots of sunsets. I did one day watch the sunrise on the beach on the east coast, and drove across the state to watch the sunset in the same day. The beach is always a place of solitude for me.
