I was actually talking about this little lady...

In one of my previous posts I asked about the Lilly Pulitzer pens and although I still haven't written with one, I read they are a "blue ballpoint" and that's really all I needed to know. I'm a blue ink girl...I think it's because I like to rebel at work and medical records are supposed to be written in black. I like to live in the wild side.
I was seconds from ordering one on ebay for $25 without a clue what their retail value was but decided to do a little investigating to see if I was getting a deal...well, I'm glad I did because $25 was not a deal! I found this website... The Beadcage Gifts that sells all kinds of stuff but they have a good variety of Lilly Pulitzer Stationary, Party Supplies, and Gifts and from what I can tell, it's a little cheaper than retail and you get free shipping!!! I paid $14 for this pen! I think I need a mug....
At least my snarky notes passed to coworkers during our sales meeting will be written in style...

I love a good pen and it has to be in blue ink too!!! My boss handmade me a pen a couple of years ago for Christmas. It's made out of "flame box elder wood" but its a beautiful pink & tan swirl pattern. It matches my Franklin Covey planner perfectly!!! I never let it leave my sight because someone will walk away with it!!! Can't wait to hear if you love your pen!!! I'll have to start buying the Lilly pens as gifts. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also a blue ink girl.
ReplyDeleteOMG thanks for the heads up on this!! I just ordered one of the notepads from the new stationary collection directly from the Lilly website for $15 + s/h. Beadcage has it for $10.95 + free shipping. Lilly won't cancel my order, but they're going to check with corporate to see if they can match the price. Heck yes!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment and prayers. I'll post more as I get the time...
ReplyDeleteAnd I too prefer blue ink. That way you can tell is the signature is real or copied...
You are too good, shug! I just went to Beadcage and bought a guest book for my new house and a address/phone book! Thanks so much for the info...
ReplyDeleteC.U.T.E!!!!!
ReplyDeletethat pen is sweet, and I also love a great blue pen!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know there are other blue-ink enthusiasts out there! Any place I have ever worked has hated on blue ink. What's the deal?
ReplyDeleteAny luck on the dress search?
Love blue ink and your little joke at the beginning,
ReplyDeleteLove blue ink and your little joke at the beginning,
ReplyDeleteblue ink is so much better than black!
ReplyDeletehope you love the pen!
ugh, i would LOVE medical sales, but I doubt I can just magically have that job. Is your company still hiring in Memphis?
ReplyDeleteI wish I hadn't missed the lower price!! Darn! Those pens are cute! But how does it write? I am a bit of a freak about how pens write. I will only write in my day planner with a particular one. When I move and don't get office supplies at work anymore I am going to be hosed!
ReplyDeleteI love pens!! Blue ink is my favorite.
ReplyDeletei like blue pens as well! let us know how the pen writes, i am very picky myself. hopefully it works great, because it is darling!
ReplyDeletei LOVE a good pen! Doctor's offices seem to have the best!
ReplyDeleteOne day at my grandmother's house (she's 82) I noticed that a male enhancement RX pen was laying on her bible! And that she had been using it to take notes in church!
She had no idea what it meant so I told her.
hahahahahaaaa!
I'm still laughing!
I'm a blue ink girl too. Black ink is so drab and boring! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pen!

I love a good pen but they are hard to keep....my students have sticky fingers. I wish I hadn't missed their lower prices, they seem to have gone up! :(
ReplyDeletevery cute - and i agree, blue ink is better. it stands out more....black just blends w/ everything else (particularly when filling out forms, etc.)
ReplyDeletehope you're doing well!
Thanks for sharing - I bookmarked the site! I am picky about my pens too. And, oddly enough, I love shopping for them. Actually, I love shopping for any and all office/organizing supplies.
